1. Overview & Commitment to Privacy
Welcome to SliceFlow ("we," "our," or "us"). We respect your personal privacy and are committed to protecting any information associated with your use of the website at sliceflowvibes.vercel.app (or custom domain). This Privacy Policy explains how we process media uploads, handle technical data, and interact with advertising networks like Google AdSense.
2. Uploaded Media & Ephemeral Video Processing
When you upload a video file for cutting, trimming, or splitting:
- Zero Permanent Storage: Uploaded video files and generated clips are stored in temporary, isolated scratch directories solely to execute the requested FFmpeg demuxing/remuxing operation.
- Automated Cleanup: Files are automatically deleted from temporary server storage immediately upon completion of your download session or within 30 minutes of inactivity.
- No Surveillance or Data Mining: We do not inspect, catalog, view, or distribute your video files. We never use user video footage for machine learning or artificial intelligence dataset training.
- Ownership: You retain 100% full intellectual property and copyright ownership of all media files processed through SliceFlow.
3. Cookies & Google AdSense Advertising
SliceFlow displays advertisements to support the ongoing server costs of providing free, high-speed video processing services. Third-party vendors, including Google AdSense, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites on the Internet:
- DoubleClick DART Cookie: Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visits to SliceFlow and/or other sites on the Internet.
- Opting Out of Personalized Advertising: Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting the Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of third-party vendor cookies for personalized advertising by visiting aboutads.info or the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI).
- AdSense Compliance: We comply with Google's EU User Consent Policy and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) guidelines where applicable.
4. Technical Log Data & Analytics
Like most web applications, our hosting infrastructure may collect standard, non-personally identifiable server logs such as browser type, operating system, referring URL, time of request, and anonymized IP addresses. This information is strictly utilized to troubleshoot processing errors, prevent distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) abuse, and optimize video decoding performance across various browser engines.
5. User Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
Depending on your location, you may hold rights regarding your personal information, including:
- The right to access, rectify, or request deletion of personal information.
- The right to opt-out of the sale or sharing of personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- The right to lodge an inquiry with your national data protection authority.
Since SliceFlow does not require accounts or store user identities, we retain virtually no persistent identifiable records.
6. Children's Online Privacy Protection
SliceFlow does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us immediately, and we will promptly purge such data.
7. Security Measures
We implement industry-standard cryptographic practices (TLS/HTTPS encryption with SHA-256) for all data in transit. File access paths are isolated using cryptographic UUID identifiers to prevent unauthorized directory traversal or media cross-access.
